Rimorchiatori Riuniti launched the Paraggi in Turkey
The resale tugboat purchased from Bogazici yard will be taken in next May to operate offshore towage services
Rimorchiatori Riuniti's fleet continues growing bigger and bigger; after the recent order issued on behalf of Tug Malta, signed with Med Marine yard of Istanbul, Genoa-based group is getting ready to welcome a new tugboat, currently under construction at Bogazici shipyard.
The company controlled by the Gavarone and Delle Piane family announced the launching, on April 7th, of tugboat Paraggi, ASD Multi-Purpose Escort Tug Boat with 70 tons bollard pull to be delivered Finarge Armamento Genovese (controlled by RR) by next May.
“We purchased this unit in late 2017” Gregorio Gavarone, CEO of Rimorchiatori Riuniti, told Ship2Shore.
“The yard had almost completed construction of the ship (previously named Bogazici 25) and was looking for a buyer. This was a good opportunity and we negotiated a particularly competitive price, below 6 million Euro”.
A tugboat, adds Gavarone, “we know very well, being sister of those operating in Trieste (on behalf of participated Tripmare, Ed) and Ancona (where towage service is provided by subsidiary group Gesmar; Ed.)”.
Regarding the ship destination “she will join the Santantonio Primo to provide offshore towage services”.
