Marco Fiori will be the new CEO of Premuda
Following his recent resignation from d’Amico International Shipping the experienced manager is to care on Pillarstone Italy as from 2019
As from January 2019 Marco Fiori will be the new Chief Executive Officer of Genoa-based shipping company Premuda, sources revealed to Ship2Shore. The resignation of the seasoned manager from d’Amico International Shipping announced in October will be effective from next December 31th.
The KKR-controlled fund bought Premuda in March 2017 and the role of CEO of the company remained covered by Stefano Rosina until last summer, when he was replaced by Jens Martin Jensen.
Few months ago Gaudenzio Bonaldo Gregori, partner of Pillarstone Italy, in an interview said that “Premuda is in good health watching at the results achieved in 2017” and added that the future would “look at potential takeover of fleets to be achieved directly or to be somehow integrated”.
This potential step would perfectly fit with the original plan for Premuda announced two years ago and aimed at building up a shipping platform for distressed assets where putting together ships of the same size and type. Premuda’s fleet today consists of 13 vessels: 10 bulkers and 3 tankers.
