ENI to charter the Saipem 12000 in for the Pakistani offshore
The drillship was allegedly booked for 3 months starting next December
ENI chartered in drillship unit Saipem 12000 from Saipem to be deployed offshore Pakistan.
The news was confirmed by the Italian contractor to Offshore Energy News, which originally reported the news issued by Norway-based Bassoe Offshore brokering house.
The latter broker stated the 3-month accord was signed last October 24th and will start on December 1st.
No formal announcement was released, however, still according to Offshore Energy News, this unit will be seemingly serving the so called Indus G-Block area, where – as announced last June by the Pakistani press – a joint venture sealed by ENI, Exxon, Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) Pakistan Petroleum Limited, planned to start drilling Kekra-1 well as from January 2019 by deploying a drillship chartered in from ENI.
