Change of plans for the ferry AF Claudia
During summer Adria Ferries’ ro-pax will not be deployed by GNV, but is going to be used by Grimaldi Lines to double its Civitavecchia-Olbia connection
The ferry AF Claudia belonging to shipping company Adria Ferries – a subsidiary of the Frittelli Maritime Group of entrepreneur Alberto Rossi – will not be deployed by Grandi Navi Veloci, rather it will be added to Grimaldi Lines’ fleet.
As reported by Ship2Shore, and as confirmed by GNV a few weeks ago, the ferry company within the MSC group had reached and agreement to charter AF Claudia – a ferry built in 2001 by Cantieri Visentini, with a 24,000 gross tonnage, a capacity of 1,000 passengers and 2,100 linear meters of cargo, purchased by Adria Ferries at the end of 2018 for 45 million euro - until the end of September to deploy it on the Genoa-Palermo route.
However, Grimaldi Lines officially announced that the ro-pax AF Claudia will be deployed by the Neapolitan group besides its unit Cruise Ausonia in order to double the connections on the Civitavecchia-Olbia route during the summer.
