Campania welcomed a German passengers vessel

The call of the cruise ship Mein Schiff 6 (TUI Cruises) at the port of Salerno was managed by Amoruso Giuseppe, Salerno Cruises and MEDOV. The German customer urged Salerno to complete its Manfredi Pier in order to host its larger vessels

On the occasion of the call of the cruise ship Mein Schiff 6, the general agents of the German company TUI Cruises (a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean International Group) in Italy Amoruso Giuseppe SpA, Salerno Cruises Srl and MEDOV Srl organized the Plaque Exchange Ceremony between the Captain Simon Boettger and the civil and military authorities, as well as the technical nautical services of the port of Salerno.

The ceremony was attended by the representative of the Central Tyrrhenian sea Port Authority Territorial Office of Salerno Luigi Di Luise, by the Salerno Customs Agency Director Stefano Fasolino, by the Lieutenant Antonio Sogno representing the Coast Guard, by the leader of the Mooring Operators Group of the Port of Salerno Captain Luciano Testa, by the Chief Pilot of the Port Pilot Corporation Captain Massimiliano Irace Fabricatore, by the Salerno Marine Station manager Orazio De Nigris, by shipping agency Amoruso CEO Giuseppe Amoruso and by Salerno Cruises CEO Francesca Amoruso.

Launched in 2017, the German ship is the last of three 295 meters long sister ships with a 98,000 tonnage, and a capacity of 2,800 passengers and 1,000 crew members. “TUI Cruises confirmed its interest in our port due to its strategic position allowing its passengers to enjoy the Amalfi Coast and the most beautiful archaeological sites such as Pompei, Ercolano and Paestum. Moreover, through its Tour Operator CIMA Tour, the German company is the first one to offer a walking guided tour of our historical town centre”, Giuseppe Amoruso explained with enthusiasm.

On its part, the German Captain explained that TUI Cruises hopes that Salerno will be able to host the new 315 meters long and 110,000 GT units also at the Manfredi Pier of the Maritime Station. low its passengers to appreciate the beauty and hospitality of Salerno even more.
