Amoretti to transfer Alberta soon
At the end of November, its 30.000 dwt tanker, built in 1999, will be transferred to Dubai-based company Hanan Shipping
After the new deliveries, the Emilia group Amoretti Armatori is about to sell one of its oldest units, within a renewal plan of its assets, including also the order for two newbuildings placed in China.
In fact, the Parma-based shipping company is planning to sell its 30,000 dwt tanker Alberta Amoretti built in 1999, although the ship is still chartered to leading international oil majors.
Alberta will sail for the Arab Emirates. In fact, Marittima Emiliana – within the Amoretti Group – applied to the Coast Guard of Catania (the ship is registered in the Augusta registry) for its cancellation from the registry of Italian ships as it will be “sold to the Dubai-based company Hanan Shipping”, and for its “registration in the Liberian registry”.
Alberta Amoretti should be delivered to its new owners at the end of November, although there is no information about its sale price: according to the VesselsValue portal, the current market value of this ship slightly exceeds 5 million dollars.
