A Shipping Business Conference to develop relations between Italy and Cyprus

Relevant meeting for Italian companies


A Shipping Business Conference entitled "DOING BUSINESS IN SHIPPING - A LANDMARK FOR CYPRIOT-ITALIAN BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL RELATIONS" will be held on 29th May in Limassol.

At the event organized by Sintesi Business Network as Cypriot-Italian Business Association in cooperation with the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, will attend the Deputy Minister of Shipping Natasa Pilides and the Italian Ambassador in Cyprus Andrea Cavallari, as well as representatives of some of the most important Italian and Cypriot companies in the sector.

The program of the conference that will be chaired by Federico Franchina, Coordinator of the Shipping and Aviation Committee of Sintesi, Cypriot-Italian Business Association, foresees in the morning, after the introduction of the Secretary General of the Business Association Giuseppe Marino, the institutional greetings and the presentations of qualified speakers who will provide an overview on the sector and on the opportunities of commercial exchange between the two countries.

Presentations will then start with a general overview of the legal and tax framework in the two countries made by Costas Katsaros, Partner of Emilianides Katsaros Law Firm and Cinzia Capizzi, National Coordinator of FGP, Italian Federation of Young Professionals.

Fabrizio Vettosi, Member of the Board and Vice President of the Finance Commission of Confitarma, will deal with the latest developments in Shipping and Finance and Giampiero Soncini, CEO of the IB Marine Division, will provide an updated overview on the topic of Remote Shipping.

After this, Eugen H. Adami, Managing Director of Mastermind Shipmanagement Ltd and Paul Kyprianou, external relation manager of Grimaldi Group, will provide an overview on shipping from Italian and Cypriot stakeholder perspective.

The works will be closed by The Deputy Minister of Shipping Natasa Pilides who will highligthed Cyprus as primary Hub in the maritime sector providing also an overall vision on the related opportunities and perspectives in the coming years.

In the afternoon, after a light lunch, targeted BtoB meetings will take place to develop and consolidate professional and business relations between the participants.
