2M to expand its service between Italy and Gulf of Mexico
In order to tackle problems related to winter, the eighth unit will be added to the connection
From mid-November 2M Alliance's service between Italy and Gulf of Mexico will be supplemented with the eighth ship deployed on this route.
The news was disclosed by the two partners Maersk (which trades it under the name TA6) and MSC (for which the service is called MedGulf), which also announced their intention to replace the current westbound call at Port Everglades with a call at Miami.
If the change is confirmed, the final rotation of the connection will be: Gioia Tauro - Naples - La Spezia - Barcelona - Valencia - Algeciras - Sines - Freeport - Miami (instead of Port Everglades) - Vera Cruz - Altamira - Houston - New Orleans - Miami - Freeport - Sines – Algeciras – Barcelona.
