Grimaldi to invest over 50 million in Italian and foreign ports
Ready to charter in new areas in Leghorn port and build a new silo in Salerno
Athens – As announced by Managing Director Emanuele Grimaldi at Euromed convention - 22nd edition of Athen, Grimadi group will be investing over 50 million Euro in different Italian and foreign ports in the short term.
In essence, Costantino Baldissara, Marketing manager operations and logistics of the Group, illustrated alongside the convention that the company will take over substantial areas in Tuscany:
“New areas, part of which on property, will be acquired in Leghorn port through Sintermar (50/50 joint venture with Gruppo Neri), that will grow from current 370,000 square metres to 500 square metres, investing some 20 million Euro”.
Grimaldi Group also “took over further 100,000 square metres retroport areas in Salerno where a new car silo will be manufactured, investing overall 15 millions”, continued Baldissara.
Regarding the ongoing negotiations with Gruppo Mantovani to join the equity of Fusina ro-ro terminal is currently standing-by.
A further car silo to host new cars is being built in Valencia-Spain: “Boasting 11,000 cars storage capacity and implying 20 million investment”, announced Baldissara, also adding that the group is evaluating a similar investment in Antwerp.
