COMAP received its second Liebherr LR1750 crane
The Augusta-based company will be able to provide new handling solutions by operating its two cranes together on a barge
Fazio brothers' COMAP Group expanded its lifting equipment fleet with its second Liebherr LR 1750 crane, “with a strengthened boom and the jib. At some heights, 60% of the standard crane's lifting capacity can be increased”, the company explained.
COMAP also added that the new SX Boom combined with the new LR 1750/2 jib is classified as H (Heavy), i.e. among heavy models. Moreover, its counterweight is equipped with an hydraulic operating system for easier and safer handling. As regards safety, the new LR 1750/2 provides footboards and additional access points for service personnel, with enlarged and improved railings.
“With the purchase of the new LT 1750-2, COMAP provides the market with two Liebherr LR 1750 cranes allowing for heavy lifting, especially when working together with the two lifting units (certified by RINA) on the 68 Barge”, the Augusta-based company concluded.
