Adriatic Container Terminal purchased a new mobile crane
Gottwald will deliver in the first months of 2019 the new lifting machine at the port of Ancona
In a few months the port of Ancona will have its third mobile crane to handle containers and break-bulks.
Adriatic Container Terminal (MSC’s 45% subsidiary, Frittelli Marittime’s 45% subsidiary and Ubaldo Scarpati 10% affiliate) recently signed a new investment amounting to almost 3 million euro for the purchase of a Gottwald model 7.
This new crane, to be delivered in the first quarter of next year, will be added to the GHMK 6407 Gottwald crane with a 100 tons capacity already supplied to the terminal. Moreover, in Ancona, during loading and unloading of container ships, Impresa CLP’s dockers can count also on another Gottwald mobile crane belonging to the company Impresa ASE.
Adriatic Container Terminal boasts several shipping companies as its customers: Arkas, Cosco, CMA – CGM, Evergreen, HDS LINE, MSC, MARINER SHIPPING, Tarros and ONE (Ocean Network Express).
According to the latest survey of Fedespedi’s study centre about the results of the leading Italian terminal containers, in 2017 ACT handled 168,578 TEUs, recording a decrease compared to the 185,846 of the previous year and achieving a 6.3 million euro turnover, a 1.1. million Ebitda and a net profit amounting to 731,000 euro as of 31 December 2017.
