New intermodal Verona – Bari connection
The twice-weekly service is operated by Mercitalia Intermodal
On November the 20th, Mercitalia Intermodal launched a new connection between the Quadrante Europa Verona interport and the Scalo Ferruccio terminal in Bari.
The twice-weekly service (in both directions) can transport units with a 386 critical point maximum profile and, as the Italian State railways’ (FSI) subsidiary explained in a note, “subject to verification on the part of the railway companies involved”, also offering the possibility to send ADR freights.
Mercitalia Intermodal pointed out that, from Verona, gateway relaunches to several Northern European destinations (Germany, Scandinavia, Belgium, Holland) are possible, while from Bari they can reach Greek ports, especially Patras.
